Explain pain is a great book for people living with pain. Now in its 2nd edition, it goes through the ins and outs of  chronic pain in a interesting and easy to understand way. There is now solid evidence that shows that knowing why we hurt will help us heal. For a more comprehensive look into chronic or persistent pain this website is really helpful. It has heaps of information available and is something you can go back to when needed to lean more. Heaps of videos, testimonials and tips,  all high quality, up to date, evidence based information. It is an initiative of the Hunter Integrated Pain Service (HIPS) in NSW.

General Information
Allow up to an hour for your initial consultation. We also ask if new patients can arrive 10 minutes before there appointment time to fill in a initial intake form. Follow up appointments allow 30 minutes.

Although you do not need a referral, chiropractic is available for referral via Medicare EPC program, DVA and Work-cover. Private health funds cover chiropractic under extras cover and we have HICAPS facilities for automatic rebates.
