Dr. Kristen Page (chiropractor)
Kristen grew up on the Sunshine Coast after moving from Victoria with her family. She completed her chiropractic studies in Sydney, at Macquarie University, a 3 Year Bachelor degree and then 2 year Masters program that is well known nationally and internationally for its high quality training and focus on diagnosis, technique and rehabilitation.
Kristen has completed continued professional development in areas of functional neurology and spinal control, chronic pain and paediatrics. She has a special interest in understanding the neurology behind why injuries occur, in order to create a foundation for not only reducing symptoms but also finding and correcting the underlying cause of the problem.
Kristen has been apart of a charity organisation called Hands On India (HOI) where a group of chiropractors and chiropractic students travel to India and provide chiropractic and basic medical care to some of the poorest communities in the region of north West Bangal. The program is responsible for raising funds for the ongoing costs of 5 schools providing approximately 600 children with an education who would otherwise have to go to work breaking rocks used for road bases with their parents. HOI have also set up funding for a number of woman's empowerment programs and continue to provide ongoing medical support for individual community members in need. She has now been on two trips, one in 2012 and one in 2014.
Living locally in Mount Coolum, Kristen and enjoys getting outdoors, running the mountain and spending time at our beautiful beaches, as well as yoga, rock climbing and going to live music. She believes chiropractic is more of a lifestyle, not just a job and is dedicated to providing quality evidence based practice emphasising a multidisciplinary approach.
